I remember my first meeting with my couples sometimes. This meeting with Yimin and Christina is one of them. It was at a coffee shop in a mall that we agreed to see each other for the first time (as I do for all my couples – coffee is key!). As per routine, I got myself a cup of coffee, sat down, and waited in ernest for them to arrive.

When they stepped in and saw me, I was surprised to say the least. A young-looking couple, clad in casual t-shirts, came up to me, and we formally introduced ourselves. After listening to their stories about how they met and how their wedding was going to be like (he works in the air force and they will be relocating overseas soon after their wedding), I asked them, “Just curious, how old are you guys?” I am not gonna reveal their age here, but I was surprised at how young they were. After getting to know them better, I could see that they were meant for each other and why that they decided to tie the knot at such an early stage of their lives.

I looked forward to their wedding day, as I knew that there would be some special scenes judging from the way we discussed their wedding plans. And I was right – there were really some tender moments throughout the wedding, like how Christina shared her love for her sister, how Yimin spoke of how proud he had grew up to be a man like his father, and of course the little moments where they displayed their affection towards each other. I loved how they treated me like one of their own, and for trusting me to capture the moments without any interference, and for that I am really grateful.

Yimin and Christina: If you are reading this from the US, I would just like to convey our team’s pride for giving us this special day to document, and that we wish to thank you for this wonderful opportunity. Here’s to your new life abroad!
